The redemption of delete
I just finished writing a letter by hand, with a fountain pen, by candlelight, on some rather lovely paper. It’s rather amazing how reliant I have become on the delete key, on honing phrases on paper rather than clarifying thoughts in my head. I hadn’t realised quite how much until I started writing without the ability to rephrase, or reshape, or remove.
